Fabric has a vision of providing a unified ecosystem that powers the media & entertainment industry. We are a team rooted in humility, driven by vision, and fueled by fun. We value compassion, take action, and embrace the mindset that to succeed it’s also okay to fail—learning from every mistake. We encourage creative thinking and take ownership of our work, always prioritizing partnerships and team success. We believe in healthy debate, where we disagree yet commit to shared goals. Above all, we commit to growing together to deliver on a vision and a plan.

The Xytech product family has a strong legacy and heritage, built over decades to provide mission-critical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, making it widely deployed for media operations management across the global media and entertainment industry. While rooted in this extensive history and deep domain knowledge, the platform is now rapidly modernising to integrate new technologies, including AI-supported workflows, ensuring it remains the unified ecosystem powering the future of content production and distribution.

Job Purpose

To serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more of the Xytech product’s core functional areas, bridging the gap between legacy system logic and future innovation. This role focuses on technical discovery, high-fidelity documentation, and the integration of AI-supported workflows to enhance product delivery for global media brands.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Domain Ownership: Take responsibility for major functional areas of the Xytech ERP, becoming the primary internal point of reference for system behaviour.
  • Technical Discovery: Conduct "deep dives" into current implementations to untangle and document complex legacy logic.
  • Requirements Engineering: Translate intricate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications and user stories.
  • Documentation: Maintain the "source of truth" documentation that engineering and QA teams rely on for development and testing.
  • AI Integration: Actively experiment with and implement AI-supported prototyping and development methodologies to optimise workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, QA, and Senior Leadership to ensure changes are technically sound and well-prioritised.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate product roadmaps and technical constraints clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Product Quality: Participate in the validation of new features to ensure they meet the defined "source of truth" specifications.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in Product Management, Systems Analysis, or a highly technical Business Analyst role.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to write high-quality technical specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
  • Logical Reasoning: Exceptional ability to deconstruct complex systems and identify underlying logic patterns.
  • AI Curiosity: A proactive interest in AI tools (e.g., LLMs, prototyping tools) and their application in the SDLC.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Self-Management: Highly organised with the ability to work independently while remaining receptive to senior coaching.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Media Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems or the Media & Entertainment SaaS sector is highly advantageous but not required.

Working Conditions

  • None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Role involves sitting most of the time.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word accurately and clearly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for data entry and documentation.

Direct Reports
