Position Description: Talent Development Manager  

The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of training and employee development within our manufacturing facility in Aurora, Ohio. This role ensures that all employees, from new hires to experienced managers, receive effective onboarding, ongoing professional development, and leadership training. The Talent Development Manager leverages contemporary training tools and applies adult learning principles to maximize engagement and effectiveness across the organization. 

Requirements

 

Primary Duties: 

Onboarding 

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs that ensure a smooth transition for new hires and reinforce company culture. 
  • Partner with HR and department managers to tailor onboarding experiences based on roles, department, and skill requirements. 

Employee Development 

  • Assess training needs using surveys, interviews, performance data, and workforce analytics. 
  • Design, implement, and evaluate learning pathways that support skill development, career progression, and compliance requirements. 
  • Create structured career ladders for each functional area to support internal mobility and talent development. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. 

Management & Supervisory Training 

  • Develop and facilitate training programs for supervisors and managers to strengthen leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. 
  • Stay current on modern management development practices and integrate relevant updates into training curricula. 

Contemporary Training Tools & Methods 

  • Utilize modern learning platforms, including LMS systems, e-learning modules, webinars, and virtual classroom environments. 
  • Incorporate blended learning, microlearning, and interactive content to enhance learner engagement and retention. 
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve training delivery and effectiveness. 

Adult Learning Principles 

  • Apply adult learning theories to ensure training content is practical, relevant, and learner-centered. 
  • Customize learning approaches based on diverse learning styles, backgrounds, and workforce demographics. 
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback to refine training programs for maximum impact. 

Compliance & Safety 

  • Ensure all training programs meet OSHA and other manufacturing-specific regulatory requirements. 
  • Deliver or support safety training initiatives in collaboration with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team. 

Metrics & Reporting 

  • Track training participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness. 
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership with recommendations for program improvement and optimization.

Salary Description
$150K-$175K Annually based on Experience & Skills
