Description

Bethany for Children & Families is looking for a Mobile Dental Clinic Support Specialist to join our GKAS team in Moline!


The Mobile Dental Clinic Support Specialist supports daily mobile clinic operations by coordinating schedules, verifying patient eligibility and insurance, maintaining accurate records, and assisting the dental team. This role helps ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for patients while working collaboratively with staff and dental professionals in the Give Kids a Smile program. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service. 


Hourly rate of pay - $17.00 - $20.00

What you will be doing as a Mobile Dental Clinic Support Specialist:


1.)  Maintain the Mobile Dental Clinic Schedule

•     Coordinate clinic events with service locations, ensuring all details are clearly communicated and documented. 

•     Communicate event information with the GKAS Dentist to ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling. 

•     Document and share important event details (contact person, parking location, service times, etc.) with the dental team and Mobile Dental Clinic Operator. 

•     Identify and reach out to potential new service locations. 


2.)  Manage Patient Forms and Communication

•     Prepare, distribute, and collect physical and digital permission forms through service locations, patient portals, and directly from patients.


3.)  Verify Patient Eligibility 

•      Confirm patient eligibility with insurance providers and funding sources and accurately document verification details.
 

4.)  Prepare and Maintain Patient Records
•     Prepare documentation for appointments and enter patient information into EHR and Mobile Dental Clinic databases accurately and in a timely manner.
•     Assist program staff with credentialing and billing processes as assigned.
 

5.)  Provide Operational Support
•     Serve as a backup Mobile Dental Clinic Operator when needed, performing operator responsibilities as appropriate.
•     Provide support to the dental team during clinic events and assist with quality assurance before and after events.
•     Attend clinic events as needed to support operations and maintain team relationships.
•     Collaborate with the Mobile Dental Clinic Operator to complete tasks when the clinic is not in operation.
 

6.)  Additional Duties
•     Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The Mobile Dental Clinic Support Specialist should have:

  •     A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  •     At least three (3) years of experience working in an office or administrative setting.
 •      Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and acceptable insurance coverage to meet job requirements.
 •      Strong organizational skills with the ability to support program goals and objectives.
 •      The ability to work effectively within a team environment while supporting established organizational policies and procedures.
 •      Cultural awareness and the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
 •      The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
 •      The ability to successfully complete required background checks, including federal and state screenings in Illinois and Iowa, healthcare worker registry checks, and fingerprinting as required.
