Our next Barron Technician School cohort is scheduled to begin this summer, and we are excited to accept applications now. We will be selecting 4-6 motivated individuals to enroll in our 2026 program.

What to Expect During the Hiring Process
Please anticipate the process to take approximately 3-4 weeks
- Candidates applications will be reviewed
- A recruiter will conduct an initial phone screen with selected candidates
- Selected candidates will be invited to an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager, COO and a member of our People Operations team
- A technical aptitude assessment will be conducted and reviewed by our Technical Service Manager
- The recruiter will contact 2-3 professional references following a successful in-person interview
- An offer of enrollment into the Barron Technician school will be extended to selected candidates
Where the Barron Technician School Can Take You
Graduates of the program are prepared to step into the role of Apprentice HVAC Service Technician, where they will continue learning on the job while supporting Barron’s continued growth as the premier heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing service provider in Northwest Washington.
At Barron, our Apprentice HVAC Service Technician will:
- Support team members while consistently delivering world-class customer service
- Follow established diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable service
- Clearly communicate diagnostic findings, repair options and preventive maintenance recommendations to customers
- Perform scheduled maintenance and precision tune-ups to ensure efficient, safe operations on HVAC/R systems
- Complete all job tasks, documentation, and required paperwork accurately and on time
- Actively promote maintenance memberships and communicate current promotional offers during visits
- Maintain flexibility to travel throughout Barron’s service areas as needed
- Work a 4-day schedule with hours and days varying based on business needs, including occasional weekend shifts with applicable pay premiums
- Collaborate effectively with the Customer Experience (CXS) team and other departments to ensure seamless customer experience
- Maintain required certifications and stay current on industry best practices, technology and CEU requirements
- Meet and exceed individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company vehicle
- Maintain a professional, Barron-branded appearance in accordance with company policy
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, with paid overtime for all on-call work
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–75 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance or equipment
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in tight or overhead spaces

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience working with your hands (i.e., personal automotive projects, woodworking)
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Active L&I Electrical Trainee Card
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Compensation:
- Full-Time
- $22.00-$24.00 per hour
- Annual Cost-of-living adjustments
