We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated Resort Maintenance Technician who takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences. This hands-on role is essential to the smooth daily operation of our 21-unit oceanfront resort, ensuring our property is safe, clean, and welcoming for owners, guests, and staff. You’ll report to the General Manager and collaborate closely with Resort Leadership, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and the Board.
- Base Pay: $25.00 per hour
- Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 40 hours per week
- Benefits: 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of service
- Location: Deerfield Beach area | 21-Unit Oceanfront Resort
What You'll Do:
Property & Preventive Maintenance
- Perform daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas
- Complete preventive maintenance for guest rooms and facilities
- Respond quickly to work orders and emergency situations
- Conduct landscaping tasks (cutting, trimming, etc.)
- Maintain repair logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records
Guest Room Maintenance
- Service plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, tubs/showers)
- Repair doors, locks, screens, and hardware
- Complete minor drywall repairs and adjust furnishings
Basic Electrical & Plumbing
- Replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs
- Clear drains, repair leaks, and replace faucets/valves
- Troubleshoot minor electrical and water-flow issues
Painting & Exterior Work
- Interior/exterior painting and surface prep
- Touch-ups throughout the property
- Trash removal and light landscaping tasks
Pool & Spa Support
- Assist in general pool upkeep and deck cleaning
- Monitor water levels; support chemical balance if certified
- Report equipment issues and coordinate vendor repairs
Concrete / Cement Work
- Perform small cement repairs, patching, and sidewalk touch-ups
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in resort or hospitality maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade/vocational training preferred)
- CPO certification preferred—or willingness to obtain
- EPA HVAC/refrigerant certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a guest-focused attitude
- You should be comfortable with power and hand tools, ladders, painting equipment, safety gear, and basic diagnostic tools.
