Summary
Legendary Entertainment is seeking a Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs, to support the TV Business & Legal Affairs team. This role will focus primarily on contract administration, ensuring compliance with legal and business obligations while also providing administrative support to the department head and at least one other executive in the department. The ideal candidate has familiarity with entertainment contracts and is extremely detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects and collaborating with team members in a fast-paced professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage contractual obligations, including payment schedules, options, credits, and marketing restrictions for above-the-line talent.
- Draft and revise episodic writer and director agreements, certificates, NDAs and other basic legal documents.
- Maintain and update contract and rights management systems.
- Liaise with guilds and unions regarding credits, waivers and signatory documents.
- Maintain deal summaries, project status reports, and internal legal grids.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Production, and Creative teams to ensure prompt payments and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate the execution, distribution, and filing of agreements.
- Manage department document organization and retention, ensuring easy access to contracts and key legal files.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings and prepare expense reports for the department head and other executives supported by the position.
- Handle general administrative tasks related to the department’s operations.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of experience in TV Business Affairs, Contract Administration, or a related legal/entertainment field.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with contract administration and legal document management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conscientiously and diligently maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Precise written and verbal communication skills; professional but friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and document management systems such as Box.
- Familiarity with productivity and team collaboration software such as Airtable and Asana.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $26.45 to $28.85. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. Total rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, market demands and indicators, specific and unique skills or training, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City and California.
