Description

The Director of Campus Ministry collaborates with the Executive Team of the school to ensure

the spiritual and apostolic formation of students, faculty and staff, and families at the school.

The role oversees all Campus Ministry events, delegating to and supervising the members of the team

assigned to specific areas of Campus Ministry (PreK-8, High School, Family Programs). The

Director of Campus Ministry also acts as liaison between Legionary, Consecrated communities,

and the school. This person also has a special responsibility of representing the Regnum Christi

charism at the highest level of leadership.

Requirements

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Education: Bachelors Degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies or other appropriate field

Experience: It is essential to have significant experience in schools, especially Regnum Christi

schools. It would also be helpful to have some experience in leadership, such as supervisory

roles, vision implementation, and organization.

Certifications, licenses, or registrations: Safe Environment certificate

Special knowledge, skills or abilities: Ability to form healthy relationships with adolescents and

adults; organizational skills; group leadership skills; appreciation and understanding of the

liturgy and sacraments; ability to discern through the lens of the Regnum Christi charism how to

approach challenges, problems, and new initiatives brought to the level of Campus Ministry and

to the rest of school leadership.


RESPONSIBILITIES

? Forms part of the Executive Leadership Team with other heads of departments: planning

of school calendar and schedules, collaborating on relevant events

? Forms part of the Formation Council (principals, deans, campus ministry and head of

school)

? Coordinates and directs Campus Ministry events

? Serves fellow Campus Ministers with logistical support, communication, and direction as

needed.

? Supervises fellow Campus Ministers and provides clear objectives, direction, and

feedback. The Director of Campus Ministry completes the end of year evaluation with each

member of the Campus Ministry team.

? Ensures all members of CM team and volunteers associated with CM initiatives and clubs

have met all Safe Environment requirements

? Collaborates with Leadership Team, Pinecrest Parent Association, and Events Manager in

scheduling and planning events.

? Casts a vision for and gathers CM team around faculty formation with regard to mission

integration, spiritual and apostolic formation (new hire orientation, annual retreats, monthly

Wednesday formation sessions); often spearheading the execution of these elements

? Helps with the consistent communication of Pinecrest’s mission, core values, motto, and

annual theme.

? Promotes the richness of our Catholic identity, heritage, and diversity. Maintains a

special focus on supporting and spearheading mission-based initiatives with regards to

promoting the universality of our faith.

? Provides guidance and support with respect to integral formation, with a specific focus on

apostolic and spiritual formation.

? Meets regularly with Head of School/President who is her supervisor

? Maintains presence in all three schools

? Supports Family Life events through seeking approval from leadership, communication

to stakeholders, and often attendance (i.e. International Rosary, Pillars groups for parents,

Advent by Candlelight)

? Supports Head of School in collaborating with Regnum Christi Locality

? Assists in hiring of new faculty and key staff positions

? Assists in onboarding of new faculty, staff, families, and students

? Maintains special duties for the Consecrated community, including Community Day.

? Supervises and delegates the planning and execution of pilgrimages and mission trips and

related fundraising efforts in coordination with Development.

? Be available and present to build relationships with members of faculty, staff, students,

and families.

? Be present in each school building to observe how members of the team live the mission,

troubleshoot any issues, and support team members.

? Work on planning upcoming events.


Weekly:

? Attend weekly meeting with Formation Council

? Attend weekly meeting with Head of School/President

? Consolidate upcoming events, reminder, news, and send weekly update email to CM

Monthly or as needed:

? Weekly or Bi-weekly meetings with each member of CM team

? Meet on regular basis with principals of each school to ensure collaboration and fluid

communication, especially regarding any campus-ministry-related concerns

? Monthly meeting with entire CM team (set agenda, ask for input, conduct meeting)

? Attend and contribute to school-wide campus ministry meetings to ensure unity and

coordination of mission across the school.

? Help to coordinate all-school Masses with rest of campus ministry team.

? Set vision for and oversee planning and execution of Vocations Week each November

and Catholic Schools Week in January with help of team.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervisor to all members of the Campus Ministry team including priests, consecrated women,

and lay people. By extension, this person also supervises and is ultimately responsible for RC

Missionaries or women in discernment who might work at the school.
