THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Vice President of Project Logistics, this role is responsible for the operational detail for assigned account(s) with a heightened focus on specialized and over-dimensional project freight. The position will be focused on daily account activities that directly impact the operational success, customer and carrier experience. There will be a heightened focus on load building, scheduling and customer/carrier updates.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- TMS entry
- Operational oversight on customer updates including portal and email communication
- Respond to customer and carrier inquiries and provide updates in a timely manner
- Appointment scheduling and rescheduling
- Managing Customer Cost Trackers
- Oversee order tender management promptly and efficiently
- Collecting facility info and updating portals to gain visibility from a project perspective
- Become educated in all modes of transportation to include but not limited to, Barge, Rail, Super load OTR, Off-road/site transportation, and crane and rigging operations.
- Help with route Surveys, permit scheduling and any additional operational duties to ensure the safety and success of the project.
- Issue escalation and resolution
- Managing and Relaying tracking information and status updates to the expectations of the customer requests
- Building a relationship with daily contacts to become an influential partner
- Build strong partnerships with internal pillars and their leaders
- Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions
- Understand the technology platform and drive automation
- Assist in claims process, collecting necessary documents and relaying appropriate information to Evans’ Claim Department
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams to ensure accurate invoicing and efficient billing processes.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Transportation project management might require variable working hours, and could vary on a daily basis.

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience / Training: Experience and working knowledge of the transportation / logistics industry.
