We are currently seeking a Traveling Foreman to join our team. The Traveling Foreman specializing in Data Communications and IT Infrastructure installations will support nationwide technology deployment projects. This role will provide hands-on leadership at job sites across the country, ensuring high-quality installations, safe work environment, and consistent execution of project standards. When not deployed on major national rollouts, the Traveling Foreman will support service needs and assist technical project teams. This position is remote based and will require national travel.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and supervise onsite technicians, subcontractors, and regional labor
  • Direct day-to-day activities, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed according to scope, documentation and customer specifications
  • Conduct on-site surveys, verify readiness, and resolve real-time issues with professionalism and urgency
  • Install and validate structured cabling, network switches, access points, sensors, POS hardware, low-voltage devices, and related IT systems
  • Ensure all equipment is properly mounted, labeled, connected, and communicating on customer networks
  • Capture required photos, documentation, test results, and as-built updates
  • Enforce all safety protocols and customer-specific site rules
  • Identify risks, scope gaps, or conflicting information and escalate appropriately
  • Maintain a consistent standard of quality across all job sites and regions
  • Serve as the onsite liaison between Project Management, Field Solutions, Resource Management, and customer stakeholders 
  • Provide daily reporting, progress updates, and clear communication regarding schedule, issues, or material needs
  • When not travelling, assist in supporting technical project tasks, procedural documentation updates, and service calls
Requirements
  • 7-10+ years of field experience in structured cabling, IT installations, low-voltage systems, or similar technical field roles
  • Demonstrate experience supervising field crews or subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of network hardware, cabling standards, and construction/jobsite workflows
  • Ability to travel up to 90% based on project demand
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in active construction environments, including lifting, climbing, and accessing ceilings or equipment locations 
  • 10 years of experience reading blueprints for material takeoff and scope execution
  • Proven success supporting internal and external customers using a variety of communication channels 
  • Willingness and availability to work in a 24/7/365 work environment including occasional extended stays on multi-week deployments
  • Must have flexibility to travel anywhere in the continental US with short notice
  • BICSI Certification (Technician, Installer II, or RCDD), RTPM, or other low-voltage/telecom credentials preferred
  • OSHA-30, lift certification or other safety-related credentials
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, operate lifts, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
  • Comfortable with extended periods of standing, kneeling, or accessing confined or elevated spaces
