Skip Tracers are responsible for using advanced database tools and investigative methods to locate and verify consumers’ whereabouts. This position offers competitive hourly pay plus a commission-based production incentive, allowing you to directly influence your income based on your performance. Top-performing Skip Tracers at Redshift earn over $80,000 in gross annual pay (hourly + commission). Key Responsibilities:
- Locate Individuals: Use a variety of online databases and skip tracing tools to locate collateral or individuals and establish contact with hard-to-reach parties, including the subject, third parties, and relatives.
- Verify Information: Confirm and cross-reference addresses, phone numbers, employment, and other identifying information to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain Detailed Records: Accurately document all actions taken, communication attempts and findings clearly and professionally for the client.
- Communicate with Clients and Agents: Provide status updates, relay related information and coordinate recovery efforts with clients and field agents.
- Handle Inbound/Outbound Calls: Professionally manage calls from clients, field agents, and third-party contacts to obtain or share necessary information.
- Assign Recovery Efforts: Based on verified information, assign cases to approved recovery agents and update clients accordingly.
- Meet Performance Goals: Achieve individual and team-based targets for productivity, quality and case closure rates.
- Adhere to Compliance Standards: Follow all company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), privacy laws, and confidentiality agreements.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Share strategies and insights with colleagues to improve overall success rates and contribute to a supportive work environment.
- Stay Current on Tools and Techniques: Keep up with changes in skip tracing tools, technology and best practices to remain effective in the role.
Job Expectations:
- Experience in skip tracing is preferred but training is available for candidates with backgrounds in related fields such as collections, customer service or finance
- Excellent phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities required
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving monthly goals
- Skilled in utilizing different computer software programs
- Strong ability to adapt to various situations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential — we maintain strict standards for attendance

Compensation
- Training Pay: $18.00 per hour during the training period
- Post-Training Pay: $16.90 per hour + Productivity Incentive Commission
- Estimated Annual Earnings Range: $55,000 to $80,000 (based on performance)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Job Type: Full-Time (on-site only, no remote work)
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
