Courier - Pharmacy

POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of prescription medications and pharmacy-related items to patients (in future) and TWC surrounding health centers. This role plays a critical part in supporting patient care by ensuring medications are transported securely, confidentially, and in compliance with all regulations.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager. No other roles report to this position. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and in compliance with legal regulations
  • Pick up and deliver prescription medications and pharmacy supplies according to scheduled routes
  • Verify delivery information and obtain required signatures or confirmations
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and transport of medications, including temperature-sensitive item
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations at all times
  • Communicate professionally with pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records to be provided to Pharmacy Manager
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Ensure efficient route selection and follows all safety and company rules
  • Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Meet The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education EOS© People Analyzer Tool
  • Buy in and experience working in the EOS® model (strongly preferred)
  • Mission-oriented; represents the enterprise in a professional manner while demonstrating organizational pride
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Maintain valid drivers license and clean driving record (MVR)
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations
