TTI is seeking a qualified Field Foreman to support our Construction and Contracting Division. This position is field-based and requires travel to project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in environmental construction, particularly petroleum equipment installations, upgrades, removals, and remediation projects.
Position Overview
The Field Foreman is a hands-on working leadership position responsible for actively participating in field operations while directing and coordinating crew members. This is not a purely administrative role. The selected candidate will work alongside field personnel performing excavation, piping installation, tank work, concrete placement, and related environmental construction activities while maintaining responsibility for site safety, quality, and production.
Strong mechanical aptitude, leadership ability, and the ability to both supervise and perform physical field work are essential.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in daily field construction activities including excavation, trenching, piping installation, tank setting and removal, equipment installation, and concrete work
- Lead by example by working alongside crew members to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to schedule
- Supervise, direct, and mentor field personnel and subcontractors
- Interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical plans to execute the project scope effectively
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors as required
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Conduct daily safety meetings and complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Maintain daily field reports, time tracking, and project documentation
- Manage site logistics, equipment utilization, and material coordination
- Identify and communicate field changes, unforeseen conditions, and potential cost impacts
Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum of 2 years field experience working with petroleum equipment systems required.
Experience in the following areas is strongly preferred:
- Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank (UST/AST) installation, removal, and upgrades
- Fuel oil and tank piping systems
- Spill prevention, overfill protection, and containment systems
- Tank monitoring and fuel management systems
- Excavation and trench protection systems
- Equipment operation
- Concrete and masonry construction
- Mechanical and electrical systems
- Environmental remediation
- General construction practices
Additional Qualifications:
- Exceptional commitment to safety and quality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- 40-hour OSHA certification (preferred)
- NJ, PA, DE, or MD Storage Tank Certifications (preferred)
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Ability to travel and work at remote project sites
- Local and regional travel required
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to perform daily physical field work and manual labor
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and physical
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation: $95,000-$125,000 annually, commensurate with credentials and experience.
