Responsibilities 

The specific duties and extent of responsibility of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Performs routine monthly accounting duties pertaining to the maintenance of accurate financial recordkeeping 
  • Assists in the timely processing of vendor billings and generation of corresponding payments 
  • Assists in the processing and distribution of accurate monthly billing statements to AMH residents 
  • Ensures the accurate uploading of revenue and payment data to the NetSuite accounting system from supporting software interfaces 
  • Assists with the timely and accurate month-end general ledger closing process 
  • Performs necessary financial account and bank statement reconciliations 
  • Prepares and distribute routine financial reports to management 
  • Assists in the compilation of departmental budgets and forecasts 
  • Analyzes financial budget variances to highlight opportunities for enhanced profitability 
  • Prepares financial and operational analyses to support management decision-making 
  • Assists in the accurate processing of employee payroll within the Paylocity HRIS system 
  • Monitors/ensures accurate employee statuses and pay records within Paylocity 
  • Becomes well-versed in the accounting and payroll procedures and practices at the other Academy Boulder communities to provide effective back-up coverage as needed 
  • Assists in the preparation of required tax filings 
  • Assists with compiling data for both internal and external audits

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Honesty and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information 
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional holidays, as required 
  • A strong motivation in support of our mission of caring for the elderly 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent 
  • 1-2 years of experience in performing comprehensive accounting, finance and payroll duties 
  • Highly proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications 
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Paylocity, a plus 
Salary Description
$67,000 - $74,000
