POSITION SUMMARY:
This supervisory role is responsible for leading and overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting through onboarding, while directing and executing targeted strategies to attract both active and passive candidates. The Recruiter Supervisor manages daily recruitment operations, including sourcing across multiple platforms, resume screening, and interviewing, while working closely with field-based hiring managers to understand staffing needs, address recruitment challenges, and develop effective strategies to overcome hiring shortages. This position ensures recruitment activities align with organizational goals, maintains a positive and professional candidate experience, oversees pre-employment documentation and accurate recordkeeping, and provides leadership, training, and coaching to the recruiting team to promote consistency, efficiency, and high-quality hiring practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute outreach recruitment strategy and develop creative ways to source passive talent.
- Oversee and provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to hiring coordinators.
- Take the initiative to guide the recruitment team by sharing best practices, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure continuous development and high performance.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive companies, and the broader job market.
- Attract qualified candidates using company ATS, online job boards, job fairs, social media, and professional networking platforms.
- Research and engage with community services, trade schools, and colleges to build a strong talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates for experience, skills, and cultural fit.
- Schedule and conduct in-person interviews and provide position details to candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure adequate candidate selection and recruiting process effectiveness.
- Provide recruiting reports and feedback to the hiring managers.
- Maintain a Call Log, pre-employment documents, and tracking spreadsheets for applicants and new hires.
- Process confidential documents (background checks, drug screenings, etc.) and ensure accurate filing and tracking.
- Be a Krapf brand ambassador, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all candidates.
- Review criminal background and motor vehicle records per company procedures, consulting with Safety Officer/HR as needed.
- Provide applicant support throughout the application and pre-employment process, creating and auditing folders for new hires.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
- Process invoices for recruitment advertising, employee physicals and background checks.
- Attend conferences and job fairs as needed.
- Travel to other locations as needed.
- Complete other assigned duties within scope and ability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume recruiting role, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- 2 years of management experience; Recruiting management experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to train, mentor and support staff effectively when spread out in various locations
- Knowledge of transportation industry recruitment highly desired
- Strong computer literacy and skills including strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel), social media, development of word documents and spreadsheets, tracking data, and generating reports with ability and willingness to learn specific software skills to meet business objectives.
- Proficient with and prior experience with human resources information system (HRIS), and similar computer software and applications; former experience using Paylocity highly preferred.
- Prior experience processing background checks and various pre-employment screenings.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational skills with ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize projects in various stages of completion.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel to different company locations during business hours.
- Professionalism in all interactions, both verbally and written, with all internal and external customers.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Must pass pre-employment Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Test and Non-DOT Physical.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; Associate’s degree required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer for 6-8 hours per day.
- Repetitive use of hands for writing and typing 6-8 hours per day.
- Hearing adequate for phone use and vision adequate for computer use and reading.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
