Serve Those Who Served
Pawnee Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Military Treatment Coordinator to support active-duty service members, veterans, and their families across our region.
This role is more than coordination!. It is leadership, advocacy, and partnership-building. You will serve as the bridge between Pawnee Mental Health, Fort Riley, the VA, and community providers to ensure military-connected clients receive culturally competent, coordinated, and high-quality behavioral health care.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison between Pawnee Mental Health and military/veteran partners including Fort Riley and the VA
- Provide community-based assistance, outreach, and resource referrals
- Train and educate staff on best practices in military- and veteran-informed care
- Oversee and strengthen Pawnee’s Military & Veteran Treatment Program
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
- Develop and refine policies related to military and veteran services
- Represent Pawnee in community committees and military-related events
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in a human service field, equivalent work experience, or a combination of work experience in the human service field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education.
- Two years of experience working with the active-duty military population and/or veteran population.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams.
- Ability to teach and train on best practices regarding treatment of the military and veteran population.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
- Current, active, unincumbered license to practice as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
- One year leadership, supervisory or management experience.
- Knowledge of the needs and challenges of adults who experience severe and persistent mental illness.
