Procurement Intern – Carrier Management (Summer Internship)

About the Role
This internship is a hands-on introduction to procurement in the logistics world. As a Procurement Intern, you’ll help support and organize our carrier base — the trucking companies we work with to move freight.
You’ll learn how carriers are sourced, approved, tracked, and kept in good standing. No prior logistics experience needed — we’ll teach you.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Help maintain and organize carrier information (contact info, insurance, contracts, etc.)
- Assist with onboarding new carriers into our systems
- Communicate with carriers via email or phone to collect required documents
- Help track carrier performance and basic metrics
- Support the procurement team with day-to-day tasks and simple projects
- Work with operations teams to understand which carriers are used and why
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Communications, or a related field
- Comfortable using Excel and basic office tools
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to ask questions
- Good communication skills (email, phone, internal messaging)
- Interest in logistics, supply chain, or business operations
