Quantic BEI | Aerospace & Defense Technology

Quantic BEI is seeking a motivated Electrical and/or Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work on custom electronics and embedded systems designed for extreme environments supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
  • Support embedded firmware development (C/C++, Python, or similar)
  • Help with hardware bring-up, debugging, and prototype testing
  • Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, etc.)
  • Contribute to system integration and engineering documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and technical problem-solving

Requirements

  

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
  • Foundation in circuit theory and/or embedded systems
  • Programming experience (C, C++, Python, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

We value hands-on experience gained through personal projects and hobbies. Candidates with any of the following interests are encouraged to apply:

  • Robotics – Building, programming, or competing with robots (FIRST Robotics, VEX, etc.)
  • Embedded Systems Projects – Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, or custom PCB development
  • Electronics Design – Circuit design, PCB fabrication, or power electronics projects
  • Software Development – App development, firmware projects, open-source contributions
  • Amateur Radio – RF experimentation, antenna design, or signal analysis
