Description
- Administer different types of massages, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and therapeutic massages tailored to individual client needs.
- Consult with clients to understand their physical conditions and stress-related concerns, designing personalized massage programs accordingly.
- Create a comfortable and soothing atmosphere for clients during treatments, ensuring a safe and clean workspace.
- Assess client’s soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion.
- Prepare, blend and heat oils and apply substances to members’ bodies as needed.
- Develop and propose client treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records for each client, tracking progress and any other noteworthy conditions.
- Complete necessary information to bill Member/Guest for massage therapy service.
- Coordinate and communicate scheduling with Fitness Desk Attendant(s).
- Communicate to Director of Fitness & Wellness about customers or massage operations concerns.
Requirements
- Post-secondary Vocational/Technical School.
- One year of experience as a Massage Therapist.
- Must have First Aid and CPR/AED training.
- Must have a valid State Massage Therapy License.
- Expertise in multiple massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot and cold stone massage, acupressure and reflexology.
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology, excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to perform massages for multiple clients.
