Location: This position requires flexibility to work at both our Coeur d' Alene and Rathdrum pharmacy locations.


We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team and contribute to a community-centered healthcare environment. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care, managing medications, and supporting clinical initiatives. Heritage Health Pharmacists are responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on medications to both patients and medical staff. Depending on the setting, you may work directly with patients and providers in a clinic or serve the community through our pharmacy services.

Requirements
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from accredited institution is preferred.
  • May consider registered pharmacist (RPh) with equivalent experience.
  • License to practice pharmacy in the State of Idaho.
  • BLS certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.

Your Essential Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with patients and internal staff.
  • Patient counseling.
  • Ensures all prescriptions are correctly dispensed according to the providers authorization and Heritage Health policies and procedures.
  • Clinical responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to: population health, medication therapy management, and disease state management.
  • Ensure staff provide high standards of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Follows and ensures compliance to all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and standards for the provision of services.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Your Success Factors:

  • Ability to provide excellent audience appropriate written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and concise instructions.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate at a high level of mastery various computer software platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug therapies.
  • Advanced computer skills required.
  • Strong typing and data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Strong dedication to follow-through and closed-loop communication.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate throughout interdisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills to engage professionally with callers in a fast paced environment.

Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior clinic work environment in a pharmacy or office building. Work may be demanding and chaotic at times. May be exposed to patient population that will present a variety of contagious diseases, physical injuries and emotional states of

mind.


Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking between different areas of the Pharmacy, such as dispensing counter, storage areas, pharmacy shelves.
  • Ability to safely and accurately manage inventory on shelves of varying heights, requiring bending, reaching, and stretching.
  • May lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate various departments of a given location.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy or stressful environment.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol.
