Municipal Pipe Tool has been protecting the environment for more than 50 years and we are growing! Our goal is to work with cities and industries across the Midwest to maintain and increase the efficiency of their sewer pipes. We also want to make a difference by helping reduce I/I (Inflows / Infiltration) and SSOs (Sanitary Sewer Overflows), further reducing the chance of groundwater infiltration and sewer pipe leakage.
The CIPP Superintendent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers assigned to his/her crew that are engaged in all phases of pipe rehabilitation projects.
Responsibilities:
• With assistance from Fleet Director, diagnose and repair equipment failures.
• Assist Project Manager in developing an installation plan.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers assigned to his/her crew that are engaged in all phases of pipe rehabilitation projects.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations to promote a safe working environment, and all construction activities are performed as planned.
• Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Communicates with project management and operations teams.
• Ensure all field activities are performed following written work instructions.
• Report time and production for the crew in preparation of work schedules and expediting workflow.
• Account for hours expended by crew members to minimize labor cost.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing 8”-36”+ CIPP liner preferred.
• More than 5 years construction industry experience in supervisory role.
• Experience operating a Cues TV Equipment and remote-control cutting device, preferred
• Knowledge of sanitary waste and storm water collection systems, preferred
• Knowledge of best practices to clean sewer lines.
• Strong mechanical background required.
• Electrical background and knowledge of traffic plans highly desired.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with sub-contractors, field inspectors, project managers, and crew members.
• Must be highly organized with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• This individual must possess or be eligible to obtain a commercial driver’s license with required endorsements.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office
• Approximately 65% overnight travel, including some weekends, is required.
