Agile Space Industries is seeking a hybrid HR Generalist in Durango, CO who is enthusiastic about streamlining processes and handling essential HR administrative tasks. The primary focus of this position is on onboarding, record keeping, supporting the recruitment process, and facilitating new hire orientation. You will play a key role in ensuring that new employees have a smooth transition into our dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Coordinate onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth and compliant new hire experience.
- Organize and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Manage I-9 verification and E-Verify compliance.
- Initiate and monitor background checks.
- Ensure completion of policy acknowledgments and required documentation.
- Partner with team leads to facilitate successful integration of new employees.
HRIS & Employee Data Management
- Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure ongoing data integrity.
- Process employee status changes, including internal transfers, promotions, and job changes.
- Support HRIS reporting needs and provide data insights as requested.
- Track probationary review timelines and performance review cycle logistics.
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintain personnel files and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support new hire compliance requirements and documentation management.
- Assist with internal audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate offboarding processes, including system updates and final documentation.
- Conduct and document exit interviews; track trends and provide reporting insights.
- Ensure timely processing of employment separation paperwork.
Employee Engagement & Development Support
- Support LMS management and annual evaluation coordination.
- Participate in team-building and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with HR digital transformation and process enhancement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but recent graduates with a passion for HR are welcome.
- SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing routine administrative tasks.
Occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs) may be required for moving files or equipment
Employment Type: Exempt
The expected salary range for this role is $60,000-$85,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is generally aligned at or below the midpoint of $72,000.
