Description
PCG Consulting Group is a leading minority-owned consulting firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. We partner with Deloitte and public-sector clients to deliver hands-on transformation support across complex government healthcare environments.
We are currently seeking a Senior Process Transformation Consultant to support a large-scale state and local healthcare modernization program focused on improving operational efficiency, accountability, and service delivery. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role not a documentation-only position. We are looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing operational challenges, working directly with frontline teams, and building practical solutions that actually get implemented.
Role Overview
- In this role, you will lead current-state process assessments and design future-state workflows across healthcare and government operational teams.
- You will work directly with business leaders, supervisors, and frontline staff to understand how work is truly performed not just how it is supposed to work on paper.
- You will then translate findings into streamlined, implementable process designs that improve efficiency while maintaining compliance in a regulated environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead current-state workflow assessments across healthcare or government functions
- Conduct structured interviews and facilitate working sessions with operational leaders and staff
- Document process flows, decision points, system interactions, controls, and handoffs
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, compliance gaps, and redundancy
- Design future state workflows that are realistic, actionable, and aligned to operational constraints
- Develop clear process maps (Visio/Lucid/etc.), supporting narratives, and decision-ready documentation
- Partner with stakeholders to validate findings and align on recommended changes
- Support early stage implementation and change adoption efforts
- Independently manage multiple workstreams while aligning with overall program goals
What Success Looks Like
- Operational teams feel accurately represented in process documentation
- Future-state workflows are practical and ready for implementation
- Stakeholders gain clarity and confidence in decision-making
- Process improvements move from analysis into action
- You build trust quickly through preparation and execution
