We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team and help manage day-to-day field operations for assigned projects.


Position Summary:

The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects, supporting site supervision, managing subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality and timeliness. This position reports to the General Superintendent, President, or Project Manager assigned to the project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively oversee and support daily on-site field operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site personnel to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and safety records.
  • Conduct and document weekly safety meetings in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Enforce quality control, job site cleanliness, and company/owner rules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring alignment with actual jobsite conditions.
  • Schedule inspections, obtain permits, and secure site resources.
  • Identify and resolve job hazards or discrepancies and report issues to leadership.
  • Assist with evaluations of field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision or a similar role.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings, and job site operations.
  • Ability to manage and motivate crews and subcontractors.
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, Excel).
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety and quality standards.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-based; must be comfortable working in high-noise, fast-paced construction environments.
  • Requires physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Requires Travel
