Description

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives while managing a team of Account Executives. This role includes direct accountability for revenue performance, quota attainment, pipeline health, and execution of market expansion objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Revenue & Growth Execution 

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives 
  • Manage complex sales cycles and high-value opportunities 
  • Drive market expansion initiatives 

Team Leadership & Performance Management 

  • Directly manage and coach Business Development Account Executives 
  • Monitor quotas and performance against established targets 
  • Establish and track KPIs including pipeline generation, conversion rates, revenue attainment, and forecasting accuracy 
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development feedback 
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of team members 

Pipeline & Forecast Management 

  • Ensure CRM accuracy and maintain forecasting discipline 
  • Monitor pipeline health and proactively address gaps 

Strategic Contribution 

  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights 
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability 
  • Contribute territory strategy development 


Qualifications & Expectations 

  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding serviceable address targets 
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a sales team 
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities 
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution

Performance will be evaluated based on: 

  • Team quota attainment 
  • Serviceable address growth within assigned markets 
  • KPI achievement (pipeline generation, win rates, forecast accuracy)
