Position Description:

The Garden Team Member will work to perform a variety of gardening duties in an outdoor environment to maintain landscape gardens and vegetable gardens at GoMacro.

This is a part-time position requiring availability of at least 24–32 hours per week.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with multiple gardening tasks—watering, planting, weeding, and mulching variety of established garden beds.
  • Ability to work efficiently; individually as well as part of a team. 
  • Harvesting various fruits and vegetables on a daily/weekly basis. 
  • Pest and disease identification, monitoring vegetable and landscape gardens
  • Maintaining weed-free, debris-free garden beds and gravel paths
  • Applying mulch evenly and ensuring crisp edging throughout work areas
  • Completing thorough watering as assigned by supervisors
  • Keeping work and break areas clean and organized

Other Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Senior Management

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1+ year landscape, garden work experience.
  • Self-starter possessing great multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently individually and with other team members.
  • Basic knowledge of gardening; vegetables, fruits, and plants. 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure gardens are maintained at an exceptional level of aesthetics every day
  • Ability to operate and maintain garden equipment and tools
  • Must demonstrate high standard of professionalism.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40–50 pounds as needed 
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun exposure
  • Ability to work on uneven terrain, including garden beds, gravel paths, and farm fields
  • Exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, plants, insects, and farm equipment
  • Adhere to all company safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ability to read English language documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Corrected vision must include 20/20 vision with normal distinguishing of colors.

  • No travel is required for this position.
