We are seeking a skilled onsite Desktop Support Technician to work in the Buffalo area to provide hands-on technical assistance to end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues directly at our location while maintaining compliance with security standards.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Document support activities accurately and maintain records.
- Escalate complex technical problems to appropriate IT teams.
- Implement best practices for desktop management.
- Assist with hardware and software lifecycle planning.
- Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs.
- Ensure network connectivity and peripheral functionality.
- Maintain compliance with security and operational standards.

The qualified candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, with experience in SharePoint on-premises considered a plus
- Familiarity with Lenovo and / or MSI hardware
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and remote support tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and articulate technical concepts and terminology clearly to both technical and non-technical team members
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of networking and cabling standards
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with Zebra, Brady, or Datamax label printers a plus
