Position Summary: 

Modula Inc. is seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Co-Op to support building maintenance and facility operations at our Franklin, OH manufacturing facility. The Facilities Maintenance Co-Op will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians to support preventative maintenance, troubleshoot facility systems, and assist with building infrastructure projects.  


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with preventative maintenance on facility systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Support troubleshooting of basic mechanical and electrical issues 
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacements 
  • Support installation and repair of lighting, outlets, and general building components 
  • Perform general facility upkeep tasks (doors, docks, racking, etc.) 
  • Shadow experienced technicians to learn diagnostics and repair techniques 
  • Maintain safe work practices and proper PPE usage 
  • Help document maintenance activities and service logs 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a skilled trades, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing program 
  • Basic knowledge of building operations, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance principles preferred 
  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems through coursework or hands-on lab experience strongly preferred 
  • Understanding of basic tools, equipment, and safe construction/maintenance practices 
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and learn building systems, repair procedures, and maintenance best practices 
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn in a hands-on industrial environment 
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to PPE and safety protocols 
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
