SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative intern to join our Destination Experiences team. As a Destination Experiences Intern, you will support the Director of Destination Experiences in the development, coordination, and execution of experiences and initiatives that enhance visitor engagement and satisfaction. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the tourism and hospitality industry while contributing to the growth and vitality of Cleveland as a premier travel destination.
COMPENSATION & EXPECTATIONS
- Mandatory Start Date & Orientation: May 13, 2026
- $1000 Monthly Stipend (paid twice monthly over the course of the 16 week internship)
- Flexible Scheduling
- $50/Month Stipend

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development, coordination and execution of destination experiences and events, ensuring they are executed efficiently and align with Destination Cleveland’s goals and standards.
- Assists in cataloguing destination experiences, existing and new, and managing the experiences database.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in tourism, visitor engagement strategies, and competitor analysis to support the development of innovative experience programs.
- Collaborate with partnerships team as well as local attractions, vendors, and partners to curate unique visitor experiences that highlight Cleveland’s cultural, historical, and recreational assets.
- Contribute to communications content, social media messaging and marketing campaigns to promote destination experiences.
- Participate and actively engage in community and neighborhood meetings to familiarize oneself with the neighborhoods and people.
- Gather and analyze visitor feedback to inform future initiatives and improvements.
- Assist in managing prize inventory and distribution for destination experience passport program.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining databases, preparing reports, and organizing data.
- Provide on-site support during events and programs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for participants.
- Conduct research on current experience trends as well as potential new and developing experiences in Cleveland neighborhoods to support the build of an experience catalog.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Destination Experiences.

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in tourism, travel, and/or destination experience.
