Now Hiring: Industrial Electrician (Construction Electric)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, some weekends required
Travel: Must be able to travel
Compensation: $30–$45 per hour depending on experience


We are seeking an industrial construction electrician with strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls, particularly supporting heat treat equipment and power conveyor systems. Machine tool experience is not the primary focus. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of electrical experience, strong conduit and wiring skills, and the ability to confidently read and interpret electrical drawings.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including conduit, wiring, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and high-voltage components
  • Support installation and commissioning of heat treat equipment and power conveyor systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in industrial machinery and facility infrastructure
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and applicable local and national codes
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and maintenance records
  • Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams on multi-skilled industrial projects
  • Travel to customer sites and support occasional weekend work as required
Requirements

 

What We’re Looking For-

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship or technical training program
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience (5+ preferred)
  • Strong experience with conduit installation and industrial wiring
  • Proficiency with electrical systems up to 480V, including 3-phase power
  • Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards
  • Experience with PLCs and VFDs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license where applicable
  • Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar industrial automation systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Industrial electrical certifications
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

Tools and Technology:

 *Use of multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment
*Familiarity with PLC programming software and HMI interfaces
*Basic computer skills for documentation and CMMS usage
*Understanding of industrial networking and automation protocols is a plus


Additional Requirements:

-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
-Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call support as needed
-Strong safety mindset and proactive approach to workplace hazards
