You’ll support daily food prep and line service with a focus on flavor, consistency, and presentation—helping ensure every dish looks great and tastes even better.
This is a part-time position averaging about 29 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Essential duties
- Prep ingredients and assist with daily kitchen setup
- Cook and plate menu items to recipe and quality standards
- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work with the team to keep service running smoothly during busy times
- Support the dish area (washing dishes, pots, and pans) during peak service times or when coverage is needed
Requirements
- 2+ years prep or line cook experience preferred (hotel/resort or similar a plus)
- Food handling certification preferred — or good working knowledge of food safety
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work holidays
Physical requirements
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen (stoves, ovens, grills, fryers)
- Good hand dexterity for chopping, slicing, and using kitchen tools safely
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
- Able to bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, and stand for long periods
