B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center located at 12320 Nall in Overland Park is looking for amazing educators with a passion for working with children ages 6 weeks through 2 years. B’nai Jehudah CDC provides a secure environment designed with age-appropriate equipment and décor, enabling children of all faiths and cultures to learn and grow to their full potential.
The Floating Teacher/Resource Aide supports multiple classrooms by filling in for absences, covering breaks and ensuring ratios are maintained. The Floating Teacher/Resource Aide also supports other functions of the B'nai Jehudah Child Development Center including the kitchen and resource/supply room.
Schedule and Benefits
- Full-time Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

- $16-$18/hr.
Essential Functions
- Help cover classrooms during staff absences and/or breaks
- Work flexibly and comfortable working with children ages 6 weeks to 2 years
- Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school
- Maintain KDHE licensing requirements at all times
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with parents through formal and informal communication
- Create positive relationships with co-workers
- Attend training and professional development opportunities as assigned
- Help cover kitchen as needed including portioning and serving snacks/lunch, general cleaning and stocking of supplies
- Keeps inventory and stocks supplies for the resource room, book closets, outdoor shed and outdoor water toys
- Experience working with children in a licensed environment
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
Physical Requirements
This position required frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying, and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling, and stooping/crouching. Dexterity to type, serve, cut, lift, write and use hands and legs to complete the tasks of the position.
