As a Business Relationship Consultant, you will:
- Drive the growth the profitability of the small business member base through prospecting and acquiring new priority small businesses.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to existing business members by actively cross-selling credit union products and services, making recommendations and making referrals to business partners including business and consumer lending, mortgage lending, and financial advisors.
- Serve as the primary Business Account opening expert; provide guidance on the account set up and access, as well as education and guidance on business structure, terminology and documents.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of member business services including products and services, online banking tools and applications, payment options, and loan offerings.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with all relevant business partners to ensure that our standard of service level expectations are met and problems are resolved quickly to reduce member friction and deepen trust.
- Manage all sales, referrals, and service needs through the proper channels, lo track and document service efforts.
- Assist Marketing with Business membership, product, and service initiatives and business development initiatives.
- Actively engage in community outreach and business development activities; participate with the local Chamber of Commerce, volunteer and/or attend community events, identify new businesses in the area, and regularly visit existing business to deepen the credit union’s relationships in our local communities and expand our opportunities to serve their financial needs.
- Act as a credit union ambassador. Represent the credit union and the credit union movement with professionalism and integrity and protect our reputation in the community.
- Assist the branch with consumer account opening and maintenance, Wires, Notary service, and employee overrides, as needed.
- Work with other team members towards the attainment of branch/department/organizational goals, in addition to their personal/professional goals.

- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute within the phoenix metropolitan area to meet with potential members.
- Strong communication and time-management skills, a professional image, and the ability to self-direct are essential.
- Three to five years of proven consultative sales experience in financial services, business sales, or small business banking required.
- Excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills, ability to conduct effective needs assessments and promote appropriate credit union products and services required.
- Outbound sales experience and/or community development are preferred.
- Degree in business, finance, or economics or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of PC applications including Word and Excel required. Experience utilizing smart phone and tablet applications preferred.
