THE ORGANIZATION

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 800+ persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.


COMPENSATION

The below is dependent upon experience and education.


AP/Payroll Associate: $26.71/hr. - $30.92/hr.


The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.


THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY

ACRC is seeking an AP/Payroll Associated located in the Sacramento office. This is a confidential position to process and record operational invoices and record all check receipts. Duties include processing employee expense reimbursements, assist with payroll processing, working with third-party vendors for all inquiries, provides support for the Financial Analyst and our POS Accounting Team, prepare and file annual governmental reports, attend fair hearings on client matters, serve as back-up to the HIPAA privacy officer reporting responsibilities, assist auditors in gathering supporting documentation for their audit fieldwork, assist in developing plans, policies, procedures, and training materials regarding operations and payroll functions, help evaluate new technologies with the COO and Controller to gain efficiencies and better manage day to day functions, and complete general operational projects and duties, as assigned.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidate will possess: 3 years of experience of direct accounting, payroll, responsibility for accounting activities, and financial analysis/reporting. Must possess the ability to read, interpret, and implement regulations with consistency, the ability to focus on detail for lengthy periods with a high degree of accuracy, ability to do complex work and meet schedules and timelines; the ability to summarize data and prepare organized reports within timelines.
