We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our daily financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and keeping financial processes running smoothly.
A Day in the Life
You’ll start your day reviewing financial transactions, updating records, and ensuring all entries are accurate and current. Your day will include reconciling accounts, communicating with vendors or internal departments, and preparing financial reports that help leadership make informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
• Recording daily financial transactions including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments
• Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Preparing basic financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
• Managing payroll data or coordinating with payroll providers (depending on scope)
• Maintaining organized and accurate filing systems for financial documentation
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Assisting with tax preparation by collecting and organizing required documents
• Communicating with vendors, clients, and team members to resolve billing or payment issues
What We’re Looking For
• Prior experience as a Bookkeeper or in a related accounting role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Prior experience using Sage, QuickBooks, Xero (or similar accounting software) is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (for files, office supplies, etc.)

• Experience with payroll processing
• Familiarity with GAAP practices
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data organization)
• Experience working with auditors or CPA firms
