Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) seeks to have an exceptional candidate to join its staff team to help lead the fundraising strategy work, implementation of raising grants and investments, and heading its marketing and communications initiatives. Under the supervision of the President & CEO, the Chief Development Officer is responsible for the management of all corporate activities related to fundraising, investor relations, strategic development team growth, marketing and communications.
The successful candidate will:
· Position will report to the President & CEO
· Coordinates with the President & CEO and Fundraising Committee members to set fundraising goals, design fundraising
strategies and prospect lists;
· Work in conjunction with corporate leadership
· Designs and implements fundraising and marketing strategies and campaigns
· Oversees the fundraising team to identify new donor prospects, write proposals, conduct extensive research, and complete grant
and investor reports;
· Oversees the marketing team, media and public relations, and setting marketing strategy and brand implementation initiatives;
· Coordinates fundraising, corporate marketing & community outreach events
. Plans and coordinates the annual campaigns that impact fundraising, investor relations, marketing and public relations;
· Designs and manages the resource development and marketing calendars; Supervises and establishes the maintenance of
tracking/reporting systems;
. Works closely with other NHS staff, and interacts with various funders, government officials, foundations, programmatic
investors, the business and media/advertising community and others to promote NHS programs and services;
· Minimum Masters Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Public Administration, Certified Fundraising
Executive and at least 10-15 years of paid professional experience and a track record in senior level management;
· Supervise, lead and inspire fundraising and marketing/communications teams
· Be an analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives to staff, and tactics
necessary to achieve business goals;
· Must possess a valid California driver's license and automobile insurance
· Must be able to travel throughout Southern California and other areas as required
· Requires attendance at evening meetings and occasional weekend assignments
· Must be bondable
Salary and Benefits Package:
· Start date: Immediate
· Salary: $120,000 - $185,000, DOE
· Paid vacation and health benefits, commensurate with industry standards
