Purpose of the Role:
The Human Resources Generalist & Company Recruiter exists to ensure the organization is staffed with capable, aligned, and committed team members while maintaining strong, compliant, and supportive human resource practices at the facility level. This role protects and strengthens the company’s ability to execute its operational and strategic plans by ensuring that mission-critical roles are filled promptly with qualified individuals and that employees at the facility are supported through consistent HR processes, clear communication, and sound employee relations.
This role directly affects company performance by reducing vacancy-related production disruption, improving employee retention, strengthening workforce competence, and ensuring the organization has the human capability required to meet customer commitments. By executing disciplined recruiting and sound HR practices, this role improves productivity, reduces turnover costs, protects compliance, and contributes to building a stable and capable workforce.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Company-Wide Recruiting
Workforce Staffing and Recruiting Execution
- Own the full-cycle recruiting process for all non-executive roles across the company, including production, technical, administrative, and professional positions
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and success criteria
- Ensure all open roles are actively managed and moved efficiently from requisition through acceptance
- Maintain clear visibility of all open roles, recruiting pipeline status, and hiring progress
Candidate Sourcing and Pipeline Development
- Develop and maintain active candidate pipelines for frequently needed roles
- Build relationships with staffing agencies, trade schools, technical programs, and community workforce sources
- Use job boards, networking, employee referrals, and community engagement to build candidate flow
- Maintain ongoing candidate engagement for future hiring needs
Candidate Evaluation and Selection Support
- Screen candidates to ensure alignment with job requirements, competence expectations, and cultural fit
- Coordinate interview processes and support hiring managers in making sound hiring decisions
- Ensure consistent, fair, and structured selection processes
Offer, Hiring, and On-boarding Coordination
- Coordinate offer preparation, acceptance, and on-boarding scheduling
- Ensure smooth transitions from candidate to employee
- Support on-boarding readiness to ensure new hires are prepared to contribute quickly
Recruiting Process Management and Improvement
- Maintain recruiting data, metrics, and reporting
- Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve recruiting effectiveness
- Ensure recruiting practices support long-term workforce stability and competence
Facility Human Resources Generalist
Employee Relations and Support
- Serve as a local HR presence supporting employees and supervisors at the assigned manufacturing facility
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
- Assist supervisors in addressing employee relations issues appropriately and constructively
- Promote a respectful, fair, and consistent work environment
HR Process Administration
- Support employee onboarding, orientation coordination, and employment documentation
- Ensure accurate HR records are maintained in accordance with company and legal requirements
- Support performance management processes as directed by HR leadership
Compliance and Policy Support
- Ensure facility HR practices align with company policies and legal requirements
- Assist in implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Support safety, regulatory, and employment compliance efforts
Supervisor and Leadership Support
- Assist facility leaders in workforce planning and staffing coordination
- Provide guidance on HR best practices to support effective team management
- Support leadership in building a stable and capable workforce
Desired Knowledge and Experience:
- 1 to 2 years in recruiting, HR generalist work,
- 1 to 2 years in workforce staffing
- Understanding of manufacturing workforce environments preferred
- Knowledge of employment practices and HR processes
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
