Standard Commercial Account Manager

Job Summary
Are you a relationship-driven insurance professional who thrives on delivering exceptional service? As a Commercial Account Manager (CAM) you’ll play a key role in supporting and retaining a diverse portfolio of commercial lines clients. You’ll be the go-to expert for coverage placement, policy maintenance, problem resolution, and overall client satisfaction.
This position is ideal for a licensed insurance professional who enjoys building meaningful client relationships, navigating complex coverage needs, and helping businesses feel confident and protected.
Responsibilities
- Build & Maintain Strong Relationships
- Develop trusted partnerships with clients, underwriters, and producer
- Maintain high satisfaction within your assigned book of business
- Collaborate with carriers and specialty markets to find the best placement for clients
- Support Producers & Drive Growth
- Provide technical expertise to assist Producers with new business opportunities
- Participate in servicing renewal accounts and exploring coverage enhancements
- Review existing policies to identify upgrade or rounding opportunities
- Deliver Exceptional Account Service
- Manage renewal processes, beginning 90 days prior to expiration
- Conduct regular service calls and respond to client inquiries
- Process endorsements, certificates, audits, and change requests
- Report claims in accordance with departmental guidelines
- Ensure Accuracy & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, real-time updated client files in agency management system to prevent E&O exposure
- Process renewals in AMS-360, including billing, commissions, and coding updates
- Issue certificates and endorsements, ensuring policy accuracy
- Ensure agency-bill policies are invoiced accurately and in compliance with agency procedures
- Act as a Key Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of coordination among clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Manage carrier communications regarding inspections, underwriting requests, and compliance requirements
- Track and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion of service activities
- Support new business and renewal workflows through coordination of required documentation
- Escalate risks to service timelines or client satisfaction to leadership as appropriate
- Promote seamless service delivery through cross-team collaboration
- Other duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial lines P&C insurance experience
- Active Ohio P&C license
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in AMS-360, ImageRight, Microsoft Office, and web-based tools
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and follow agency procedures
- Professional, polished interpersonal presence
