Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Product Owner to partner closely with our Senior Product Manager and engineering team to drive delivery across a complex B2B SaaS platform.
This role blends strong execution of ownership (backlog, sprint support, detailed requirements) with strategic communication capability. The ideal candidate can both manage the details of feature delivery and confidently represent product initiatives in cross-functional and company-wide discussions.
This is a high-growth role with a clear path toward broader product ownership.
Mission of the Role
· Ensure engineering teams have clear, structured, high-quality requirements.
· Drive execution of roadmap initiatives from concept through release.
· Represent product status and priorities clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
· Act as a force multiplier for the Senior Product Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Execution & Delivery Ownership
· Own backlog grooming and sprint preparation.
· Write clear user stories with structured acceptance criteria.
· Identify edge cases, dependencies, and system impacts.
· Partner with engineering to clarify requirements and reduce ambiguity.
· Track delivery progress and proactively surface risks or blockers.
2. Cross-Functional Representation
· Communicate roadmap progress and feature status clearly to Engineering, Support, Sales, and Leadership.
· Summarize complex initiatives at both detailed and executive levels.
· Translate business goals into actionable delivery priorities.
3. Systems & Workflow Thinking
· Understand how changes in one area of the system impact others.
· Evaluate downstream implications of product decisions.
· Identify integration risks and cross-module dependencies.
· Ask “what does this break?” before development begins.
4. Prioritization & Decision Support
· Assist in prioritization based on business impact, customer value, and technical effort.
· Provide structured recommendations when tradeoffs arise.
· Operate effectively in ambiguity and incomplete information.
5. Continuous Improvement
· Identify gaps in documentation or product clarity.
· Improve internal product documentation and process structure.
· Support post-release analysis and iteration.
What You’ll Accomplish – Your Performance Objectives
In your first 6 months:
· Engineering has significantly fewer clarification questions.
· Sprint planning is structured and predictable.
· Stakeholders receive consistent, clear status updates.
· Risks are identified early rather than reactively.
In your first 12 months:
· Owns delivery of major initiatives independently.
· Can confidently represent roadmap and status in company-wide meetings.
· Begins taking ownership of specific product domains.
Required Skills and Experience
· 4–8 years in Product, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
· Experience in B2B SaaS environments.
· Strong written requirements documentation skills.
· Experience working with distributed teams (US/India time zones preferred).
· Comfort working in complex, workflow-driven systems.
· Strong structured thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
· Experience with operational systems (ERP, logistics, maintenance, compliance, manufacturing, etc.).
· Experience supporting complex multi-module platforms.
· Experience presenting to leadership or senior stakeholders.
· Exposure to US-based SaaS companies.
