This summer, Downtown Dallas will welcome visitors from around the world, and we need passionate, high-energy individuals to help create an unforgettable experience. As a Seasonal Hospitality Ambassador, you will serve as the friendly, visible front line in our parks and activation areas during the FIFA period. Think world-class customer experience without the burden of a sales quota. You'll engage visitors and residents about the best restaurants, retail, and entertainment spots Downtown has to offer while helping maintain a safe, clean, and energetic environment for all to enjoy.
Duration: June 1 – July 19
Schedule: Flexible scheduling, up to 40 hours/week based on event needs
Location: Downtown Dallas parks and event zones
Goals and Objectives: Continually meet the program plan/goals to:
- Provide world-class customer service to domestic and international visitors through positive, welcoming interactions
- Provide a visible, uniformed presence in designated areas of Downtown Dallas to make it feel fun, safe, and energetic
- Collaborate with Downtown businesses to help promote services, public events, andFIFA-related attractions

The role will report to the Director of Events and Programming.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a "Downtown enthusiast" and share your knowledge of Downtown history, public art, museums, restaurants, entertainment venues, and FIFA activations with visitors from around the world
- Always engage with the public in a proactive, positive, and helpful manner
- Provide directions, maps, handouts, and event information to tourists, visitors, residents, and local businesses
- Support crowd flow and maintain a welcoming park and event zone presence
- Build relationships with Downtown businesses and assist them when needed
- Be the "eyes and ears" of Downtown by observing and reporting any issues or city ordinance violations to supervisors
- Work on special assignments, including FIFA-related activations and events, both individually and as part of a team
- Report Quality-of-Life issues observed in public spaces to the supervisor
- Communicate with and support additional Field Operations Team members as needed
- Provide direct support to the Director of Community Engagement for activations and events
- Perform any other tasks needed to support the Field Operations department
Key Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Bilingual ability is strongly desirable, given the international nature of the event (Spanish, French, or German)
- Familiarity with and passion for Downtown Dallas
- Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume event environments
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of customer service experience. Experience in hospitality, tourism, or events is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk or stand outdoors in extreme summer weather conditions
- Willing to wear a specified uniform and maintain a neat, professional appearance
- Must be able to carry supplies while on duty and safely lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
- Abilityto flex hours, days off, and work evenings and weekends
