Description
Position Summary
Assemblers work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling basic subassemblies. This is an entry-level position where Assemblers are expected to learn and develop foundational assembly and manufacturing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
This position will perform the duties below consistently, accurately, timely, safely, and at the lowest feasible cost:
- Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, rivets, to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.
- Inspect individual parts, assemblies, or installations.
- Assemble parts, fittings, or subassemblies using layout tools, hand tools, power tools, or fasteners, such as bolts, screws, rivets, or clamps.
- Read blueprints, illustrations, or specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, or identities or relationships of parts.
- Assemble prefabricated parts to form subassemblies.
- Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools.
- Performs hand-held riveting operations
- Promote and demonstrate that quality always comes first — every product, every process, every time.
- Maintains shop equipment and tools
- Performs quality control operations – follows SOP
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards.
- Abide by the Quality Management System.
- Make it understood by all Team Members that Customer Satisfaction is our first priority and the importance of compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Protect the Company's assets, reputation, goodwill, and stature in the marketplace at all costs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or President.

Skills Required:

Computer Skills
- Basic computer, email, and web skills are required.
- Most documentation and training are completed using the computer.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for up to 10 hours per day.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, or crawl for up to 3 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have good close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English effectively.
- Must be able to convey information effectively while talking to others.
- Must be able to judge distances, shapes, and fits.
