Be the Go-To Expert for Small Projects & Repairs

Ideal Construction is seeking a skilled, versatile Construction Service Technician to support our growing small-project and service work across multifamily, commercial, residential, and property-managed facilities.

This role is ideal for an experienced “jack-of-all-trades” professional who can assess repairs, perform quality work across multiple trades, and represent Ideal professionally on customer sites.

You’ll operate independently in a company-provided service vehicle, completing a variety of repair and improvement tasks that help us serve clients quickly and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Perform small-scope repairs and improvements across commercial, residential, and multifamily properties
• Evaluate jobsite needs and determine repair approach
• Complete work across multiple trades, including:
  • drywall and patching
  • doors and hardware
  • minor carpentry
  • handrails, trim, and finishes
  • small concrete patchwork
  • exterior siding repairs
  • door & window repair and replacements
• Document scope and materials needed for work orders
• Maintain stocked service vehicle with common materials and tools
• Communicate job status and needs with Sales & Project Coordinator
• Deliver high-quality, professional workmanship
• Represent Ideal with excellent customer service

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years hands-on maintenance, facilities, or construction repair experience
• Strong multi-trade skills (drywall, carpentry, doors, finishes, minor repairs)
• Experience in apartments, property management, or commercial facilities preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage daily job routing
• Problem-solving mindset - able to assess and execute repairs
• Professional communication with customers and team
• Valid driver’s license

Work Style

• Mobile service role (company vehicle provided)
• Multiple small jobs per day across Omaha area
• Independent but team-connected
• Fast-paced and varied work
