Tax Accountant
Description

Scentsy is looking for a Tax Accountant to assist with domestic income tax matters such as tax compliance, controversy, and planning. 


Hours: This position is open to Full-Time or Part-Time.


What You'll Do:

  • Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and trust tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Assist the Tax team with tracking and updating the tax calendar to ensure timely completion of all filing and reporting obligations
  • Review financial data for proper application of tax laws
  • Aid on tax audits and controversy matters
  • Work with AP, AR and Accounting teams to ensure tax compliance
  • Work collaboratively to evaluate the tax effect and implications of business initiatives, contemplated transactions, and business proposals
  • Stay current with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategies
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm
  • Prior experience filing tax returns
  • CPA designation or currently in progress to obtain CPA
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organization, work coordination, and follow through skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment
  • Proficient knowledge of ERP systems and an accounting environment, SAP preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite and online research software
