Description
Scentsy is looking for a Tax Accountant to assist with domestic income tax matters such as tax compliance, controversy, and planning.
Hours: This position is open to Full-Time or Part-Time.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and trust tax returns
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments
- Assist the Tax team with tracking and updating the tax calendar to ensure timely completion of all filing and reporting obligations
- Review financial data for proper application of tax laws
- Aid on tax audits and controversy matters
- Work with AP, AR and Accounting teams to ensure tax compliance
- Work collaboratively to evaluate the tax effect and implications of business initiatives, contemplated transactions, and business proposals
- Stay current with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategies
- Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm
- Prior experience filing tax returns
- CPA designation or currently in progress to obtain CPA
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organization, work coordination, and follow through skills
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment
- Proficient knowledge of ERP systems and an accounting environment, SAP preferred
- Advanced knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite and online research software
