Work Location: Remote (Winchester, VA)
Work Schedule (Remote): This position is eligible for telework, however, candidates must be able to report onsite in Winchester, VA as needed and requested by the Government for meetings, training, potential after hours support, deployments, etc.
Position Overview: ZenPoint Solutions is seeking a Sr. Release Train Engineer to support a team responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of a secure application development environment specifically engineered to accelerate the organization’s SAFe transformation. The team’s effort will focus on modernizing mission-critical vetting systems that will support national security through the transition from team-level Scrum to the Agile SAFe 6.0 framework, the development and deployment of a secure cloud-native microservices architecture, the implementation of DevSecOps and Zero Trust practices, and the sustainment and modernization of legacy systems into a unified platform.
- Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanban and other information radiators
- Facilitates Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI planning meetings
- Facilitates the PI planning event
- Assists tracking the execution of features and capabilities
- Assists with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
- Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Helps manage risks and dependencies
- Escalates and tracks impediments
- Improves the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
- Facilitates system demos and solution demos
- Drives relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assesses the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and helps them improve
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
- Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Current SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
- Minimum 4 years of experience utilizing Jira to track work for the ART
- Previously served as a RTE on a program of similar scope with 50+ FTE
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred) or equivalent experience
