Description

Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Secondary Production Supervisor, this position performs skilled work in the preparation and operation of pad printing machines in a printing department. Work may include manual labor such as printing, packing, sorting, cutting, or oiling parts.


Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:

  • Prepares job by assembling jigs, obtaining blueprints, set-up sheets, printing plate and ink for operation of printer, and assembling boxes for packing
  • Loads parts onto turntable jigs for printing
  • Examines finished product for quality
  • Completes paperwork by recording job time and parts completed
  • Packages materials for shipping
  • Transports products to shipping area manually or by means of a pallet jack
  • Responsible for cleaning up machine and work area, or as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production area
  • Ability to work efficiently on the various punch and print machines
  • Ability to meet required production averages on job
  • Ability to read a blueprint and fill out production paperwork
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work effectively in a shared work environment as a member of a team workforce
  • Must be able to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull and climb continuously as needed

Work Environment:

  • Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremes
  • Occasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes (protective equipment available)
  • Noise level is usually moderate (hearing protection available)
