Purpose and Scope:
The PowerApps Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 services. This role supports business process automation and digital transformation initiatives by translating functional requirements into secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
The position works closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to streamline workflows, improve data accessibility, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has foundational to intermediate experience with the Microsoft Power Platform and contributes to solution design, development, deployment, and support.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and deploy Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps.
· Build and maintain workflows using Power Automate.
· Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
· Develop custom connectors and integrate REST APIs when required.
· Configure and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, and security roles.
· Implement responsive design and user-friendly interfaces.
· Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance.
· Support data migration and application lifecycle management (ALM).
· Participate in requirements gathering and technical design sessions.
· Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards.
· Create technical documentation and provide end-user training when necessary.
· Participate in testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Required Skills:
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate required).
· Understanding of Canvas and Model-Driven app development.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse and data modeling concepts.
· Familiarity with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 integrations.
· Basic understanding of REST APIs and web services.
· Knowledge of basic programming concepts (e.g., formulas, logic, expressions).
· Understanding of role-based access control and security principles.
· Familiarity with Agile or structured development methodologies.
· Ability to design and build functional Power Apps solutions.
· Ability to automate workflows using Power Automate.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

Required Qualifications:
- All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience with Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
- Experience with Power Automate (cloud flows and approvals).
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
- Experience with SharePoint Online integration.
- Experience with environment management and application lifecycle management (ALM).
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Power BI integration.
- Experience with Azure services or API integrations.
- Experience supporting federal or regulated environments.
- Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform App Maker Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate.
Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
