Purpose and Scope:

We’re seeking a passionate Solution Architect who is experienced in performing system architecture work with emphasis on AI adoption, governance, scalability, and efficiency. This customer solution SME is an enthusiastic advocate driven to help our teams and customers deliver better and faster business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Designs, creates, and builds application(s) and features in Java Spring Boot; creates back-end code and interfaces for new applications; analyzes user needs to implement front-end design, graphics, performance, and capacity; integrates applications with other platforms as needed. 
• Collaborates with other team members across multiple functional areas (engineering, DevOps, UX, Product, Scrum Master) 
• Experience with deploying Java Spring Boot services /applications on AWS Gov. Cloud (DevSecOps and FinOps) 
• Contributes to the development and management of product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, and writing user stories.
• Translates designs and wireframes into reusable, testable and efficient front-end code.
• Hands-On Solution Architect, the final tier-SME for assigned responsible areas
• Collaborates closely with program Chief Architect; May augment roles as Deputy Chief Architect for the program with respect to AI implementation and adoption.
• Creates designs and develops data models to optimize data access for web applications 
• Participates in Agile processes including daily standups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint planning 
• Works closely with product owners, business analysts, designers, and engineers to gather, refine and implement business requirements
• Provides support, maintenance, and enhancements to the existing system
• Collaborates with a fully integrated Agile team to deliver continuous improvement to designs, processes, and standards. 
• Collaborates and builds customer relationships on a foundation of trust and effectiveness.   
• Provides subject matter expertise on applicable technologies and platforms and leads decision process to identify the best options.
• Provide technical strategies in modernizing legacy on-premise application to modern cloud-based solutions.
• Maintains governance frameworks that span the full AI lifecycle: policy management, risk assessment, bias/fairness monitoring, audit logs, transparency, immutability, and regulatory compliance frameworks
• Ability to create seamless integrations with CI/CD pipelines, identity/access controls, APIs, repositories, and monitoring systems
• Train teams and (customer) end users, develop onboarding and adoption materials, and lead workshops to drive utilization and trust in AI workflows.
• Aligns consensus from multiple stakeholder groups—data science, DevSecOps, compliance, business, etc. users all around secure AI capabilities and platform value.
•  Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or other related scientific or technical discipline. With ten years of general information technology experience and at least four years of specialized experience, a degree is not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of development experience on complex Enterprise level Web applications on.
• 2-5 years of architect experience on designing solutions for complex applications.
• Strong experience in software engineering, including implementing engineering best practices, iterative/continuous engineering principles
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one of the following languages: JAVA, Javascript, Springboot and Spring Security 
• Deep understanding of APIs, and familiarity with JSON, Web APIs, REST APIs, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, RESTful practices, and GraphQL  
• Solid experience with implementing, deploying, and maintaining both relational and non-relational databases like SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar 
• Experience in AWS cloud data architecture, CI/CD Pipelined and cloud best practices (DevSecOps (Terraform), FinOps) 
• Proven experience designing secure data solutions with PHI and PII and the associated governance.
• Experienced collaborating with customers and stakeholders to present solutions to the user/stakeholder community and gain user adoption
• Experienced designing cost-optimized cloud scalable solutions
• Experienced fixing architecture issues that impact scalability and performance for large systems with large datasets.
• Experienced with rapid prototyping and greenfield project creation
• Demonstrable experience aligning consensus across multiple interested/affected groups.
• Diverse outcomes driven consulting capacity.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience working in an agile or SAFe environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, residing in the United States

Desired Qualifications:

• Industry experience a plus (Medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare, or commercial insurance) or direct experience with government agency Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
• Coding Certifications (JAVA) and/or AWS Cloud Certifications.
• Successful applied AI outcomes achieving meaningful and measurable improvements or planned outcomes.
• Certifications/Training involving maintaining, designing, and implementing AI/ML Architectures.

Working Environment:

eSimplicity supports a hybrid and remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5-10% per year.
