TITLE: Credit Analyst
DEPARTMENT: 911 – Credit Administration
JOB SUMMARY:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for supporting the Credit Administration team and Commercial Bankers by performing a variety of administrative, analytical and reporting tasks related to the management of the commercial credit portfolio. This position will contribute to client relationships by providing consistent, high-quality service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist and support the Commercial Banking team from the inception of a loan request including, but not limited to, gathering financial information, preparing financial statement spreads, cash flow and other pertinent analysis and ordering appraisals/evaluation reports.
- Assist Commercial Bankers with timely and accurate completion of commercial credit presentations, including analysis of appropriate data per credit policy, bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the portfolio tracking process, including gathering and entering data in the appropriate tracking reports, as well as reviewing and distributing monthly reports.
- Manage a variety of routine administrative and reporting functions as assigned, including quarterly legal lending limit reports, and policy exception tracking and exposure monitoring reports (select markets).
- Assist with internal servicing of the portfolio by completing risk rating change documentation and performing floor plan checks/audits.
- Ability to perform accurate credit analysis to identify relevant issues and key credit risks.
- Independently manage workflow of credit underwriting and portfolio management to meet required deadlines and produce quality results.
- Prepare annual term loan reviews as requested by the Commercial Banker staff.
- Assist with completion of quarterly problem loan reports.
- Provide credit administration support including but not limited to the following duties (select markets):
- Underwrite credit requests from Treasury Management including ACH/RDC and Business Credit Card approvals.
- Prepare monthly Swap monitoring report
- Prepare annual Swap counterparty analysis and underwriting for new exposure or changes to current exposures for Swap counterparties as needed Provided financials and required loan documentation on an ongoing post-close basis, quarterly, to non-affiliate Banks which have purchased loan participations.
- Complete credit reference inquiries for commercial borrowers
- Collaborate with Commercial Credit Operations, Administration and Lender staff to provide timely response to internal and external customer inquiries and servicing needs.
- Build relationships with other bank personnel to facilitate effective working relationships between credit administration and production.
- Assist the department with special projects and reporting as assigned.
- Participation in community activities is encouraged. This involvement can include professional, civic and community groups.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in lending, banking, financial industry or client service working knowledge is preferred.
- Capability to utilize various banking software and Microsoft 365 products, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with capability to meet deadlines.
- Capability to manage sensitive information and uphold confidentiality.
- Capability to work and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and professional manner.
- Strong analytical and problem- solving capabilities.

- Ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate financial information effectively to a wide range of clients and audiences.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
