We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an accountant looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, growing organization. The Staff Accountant will assist in preparing documentation to support government reporting requirements, perform account reconciliations, and maintain accurate records for capital purchases and project accounting.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities
- Compile and organize financial data to support periodic government reporting requirements.
- Prepare and maintain schedules and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.
- Track and record capital purchases and ensure compliance with capitalization policies.
- Assist with tracking and reporting on project-related financial activity, including cost accumulation and budget vs. actuals.
- Support internal and external audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Perform data entry, analysis, and validation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities as assigned.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.
- Maintain and update documentation for accounting procedures and controls.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- OR a mix of 5+ years of directly related experience in Staff Accounting and education as a substitution for a related Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general comfort with financial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
Working Relationships:
- Reports to the ENTEK Manufacturing Controller and has no direct reports.
- This position typically interacts with employees at all organizational levels as well as regulators.

Work Environment Description:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands; and work in both an office setting and a production environment.
- This position may require occasional travel to ENTEK’s other production sites within the US.
- May be required to occasionally independently move and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
