Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a motivated and organized Fan Engagement & Marketing Intern to support integrated marketing campaigns and gameday fan experience initiatives for our USL Championship and Gainbridge Super League teams. This role combines digital marketing execution with hands-on involvement in live event production, offering exposure to both campaign strategy and matchday operations. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement, the intern will assist in executing marketing campaigns while supporting the coordination and delivery of engaging fan experiences during home matches.

What You’ll Do
Marketing & Digital Strategy
- Assist in executing integrated marketing campaigns across paid social, Google SEM, email, SMS, and owned digital channels
- Build, format, test, and proof marketing emails including weekly promotions, matchday communications, and general club announcements
- Write and edit promotional copy for email, paid social, radio scripts, website content, and SMS messaging
- Assist with audience targeting and segmentation for digital campaigns
- Support campaign tracking and assist with basic performance reporting
Fan Engagement & Game Presentation
- Assist in developing the matchday production script and gameday grid
- Support preparation and distribution of the intern gameday rundown and task assignments
- Assist with coordination of interns across Fan Zone, Supporters Section, and other fan engagement areas during setup and breakdown
- Support execution of halftime activations (HER Impact Honoree, Fan of the Match, Junior DJ, Junior PA, etc.)
- Assist with theme night planning and promotional schedule execution
- Help ensure fan engagement elements are executed professionally and on schedule
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based marketing work and live event execution
- Fast-paced, high-energy setting during events, often with large crowds
- Exposure to loud noise levels from fans, music, and stadium announcements
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds)
- Indoor and outdoor work locations depending on location (weather exposure may apply)
- Team-oriented atmosphere with frequent interaction with customers and coworkers
- Required to maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Event-based scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
