The Opportunity:


 As the Senior Manager, Paid Media, you will own OBI’s paid media strategy and execution across digital and traditional channels. Reporting to the VP of Integrated Marketing, you will serve as the agency’s paid media expert—building sophisticated media plans, advocating for strategic channel investment, and advancing performance innovation across client engagements.

This is a senior leadership role within the Activation Studio with direct impact on media strategy, team development, and performance outcomes. You will develop and grow a high-performing team of media buyers and analysts, elevate planning standards, and drive continuous improvement across the function.


What You’ll Do:

  

Paid Media Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight for paid media initiatives across client engagements, ensuring strong strategy, disciplined execution, and measurable performance. You’ll establish and evolve the frameworks, standards, and best practices that guide how paid media is planned, activated, and optimized across the agency. 

Channel Strategy & Execution: Lead paid media strategy and execution across search, social, programmatic, and traditional channels. You’ll determine the right channel mix, audience approach, and investment strategy to support integrated marketing plans and client goals. 

Media Planning & Investment Strategy: Oversee complex media planning, budget allocation, and forecasting decisions, ensuring investments are optimized for both efficiency and impact. You’ll make strong, informed recommendations on tactics and investment levels to drive results, while working collaboratively with clients to optimize performance within approved budgets. 

Measurement & KPI Frameworks: Establish and manage KPI frameworks that connect media performance to meaningful business outcomes. Your responsibility ensures data integrity, clarity, and accountability in reporting. 

Conversion Rate Optimization: Collaborate with creative, digital, and web teams to identify opportunities for post-click optimization and performance improvement across landing pages and customer journeys. Your tenacity ensures continuous improvement across the full customer journey. 

Full-Funnel Strategy: Develop full-funnel paid media strategies that align with broader integrated marketing plans and client objectives.  

Client Partnership: Lead paid media conversations with clients, presenting strategy, explaining performance, and providing clear, confident guidance. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor on media investment and channel decisions.  

Analytics & Attribution Excellence: Ensure best practices in analytics, measurement, attribution, and reporting, including the use of Google Analytics and related platforms. 

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing team of media buyers and analysts. You’ll support skill development, career growth, and a culture of accountability and innovation. 

Quality Control & Optimization: Maintain strong quality control through regular campaign reviews, performance assessments, and optimization plans. You’ll ensure programs continuously improve rather than plateau. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the VP, Integrated Marketing and other Studio leaders to ensure paid media strategy aligns with creative, engagement, digital, and client services efforts for integrated execution across a diverse client portfolio. 

Innovation & Industry Leadership: Stay current on platform updates, media trends, and emerging technologies, applying relevant insights to elevate client programs and agency capabilities.
